April showers bring ....

It's May. Do you know where your pre-teen is?

Actually, Wally will be roughly 8 this summer (his co-benefactors do not remember exactly when the Fenway Park stork dropped him off at their apartment in Arlington, MA), but we're not sure how Green Monster years translate.

Back to our point: Wally is watching the Giro. Le Tour is the biggest bike race on the Planet, the best of the Grand Tours, but the Giro d'Italia is one heck of a race, particularly with the number of Italian cyclists who are out to win sprints, stages, jerseys, and the whole shebang.

This month's Giro has started off with a bang. The Falcon sets the tone in the first stage and McEwen has two wins. Allejet is out with a fractured kneecap. Ullrich looks porky - will he get it together for Le Tour? (He's riding the Giro to "get his fitness." Are you kidding? It's May!) On the downside, OLN's two hours of coverage per week is very disappointing, but at least we have Phil and Paul.
